Data Deletion Policy

You may request deletion of your RivalMoose account and personal information by emailing hello@rivalmoose.com with the subject line “RivalMoose Data Deletion Request”.

Please send the request from the email address associated with your RivalMoose account whenever possible.

Include:

• your name
• your RivalMoose account email
• your organization or workspace name, if applicable
• whether you want to delete your entire account or specific personal information

Do not send passwords, payment-card information, government identification documents, or other sensitive credentials unless specifically requested through a secure verification process.

After receiving a valid request, RivalMoose may:

• acknowledge receipt
• verify that you are authorized to make the request
• identify relevant account information
• delete or anonymize eligible personal information
• disconnect applicable integrations
• remove access to your account when account deletion is requested
• provide confirmation when the request has been processed

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and protect accounts from unauthorized deletion requests.

Depending on the request and applicable legal requirements, deletion may include:

• account profile information
• name and account email
• authentication information
• notification preferences
• personal workspace preferences
• saved views and personal notes
• integration identifiers
• personal support information
• other account-associated personal information

Where a customer organization controls the relevant workspace, some business workspace information may belong to or remain under the control of that organization.

If you are a member of an organization-owned RivalMoose workspace, deleting your individual account does not necessarily require deletion of all information belonging to that organization.

The organization may retain:

• competitor watchlists
• product mappings
• reports and team activity
• monitoring configurations
• shared intelligence
• billing records
• other business information

If you are an authorized administrator requesting deletion of an entire organization workspace, clearly specify this in your request. We may verify your authority before deleting organization-level information.

RivalMoose primarily collects competitive intelligence concerning businesses, brands, products, prices, promotions, public advertising creatives, marketplaces, reviews, and other publicly observable commercial activity.

Deleting your RivalMoose user account does not necessarily delete independently collected public business information from the RivalMoose competitive intelligence database.

This means account deletion does not automatically require removal of:

• public brand information
• public product information
• publicly displayed pricing
• public promotions
• public advertising creatives
• marketplace information
• other lawful public commercial observations

If you believe publicly displayed RivalMoose information contains your personal information or has been improperly attributed, contact hello@rivalmoose.com and explain the specific concern.

Certain information may be retained even after a deletion request where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required. This may include:

• transaction and invoice records
• tax and accounting records
• fraud-prevention information
• security logs
• records needed to establish or defend legal claims
• records required by applicable law
• evidence of consent or withdrawal
• abuse-prevention records
• limited backup copies pending routine backup expiration

Where possible, retained information will be limited to what is necessary for the applicable purpose.

Information removed from active RivalMoose systems may remain temporarily in encrypted or restricted backup systems until those backups are overwritten or expire according to normal retention schedules.

Backup information is not intended to be restored except for legitimate disaster-recovery or security purposes.

If you used Facebook Login to access RivalMoose, you may request deletion of information received through that connection by emailing hello@rivalmoose.com with the subject “Meta/Facebook Data Deletion Request”. Include the email address associated with your RivalMoose account.

Where appropriate, RivalMoose will delete or disconnect eligible Meta/Facebook-associated account data, subject to applicable retention requirements.

You may also remove RivalMoose from your Facebook account's Apps and Websites settings. Removing RivalMoose from Facebook prevents future access through that authorization but may not by itself delete your RivalMoose account. To request deletion of the RivalMoose account itself, follow the deletion process described on this page.

If you connected third-party services, account deletion may result in:

• revocation of RivalMoose access
• deletion of stored authentication tokens
• disconnection of the integration
• deletion or anonymization of eligible personal information received through it

Removing an integration from RivalMoose does not delete information held independently by the third-party provider. Contact that provider separately to exercise rights relating to data it holds.

RivalMoose may use third-party payment processors. If payment information is held by a third-party payment provider, RivalMoose may not directly possess complete card or banking credentials.

Transaction records may be retained where required for accounting, taxation, fraud prevention, chargebacks, or legal compliance.

We aim to respond to legitimate privacy and deletion requests within a reasonable period and within any timeframe required by applicable law.

Complex requests, organization-owned accounts, security investigations, or legally required retention may take longer. Where appropriate, we will communicate with you regarding the status of your request.

Where RivalMoose processes personal information based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent where applicable.

Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal. Certain RivalMoose functionality may no longer be available if required information can no longer be processed.

You do not need to delete your entire account to report incorrect personal information.

To prevent malicious or unauthorized account deletion, we may verify requests using account email confirmation, authentication, workspace administrator confirmation, or another reasonable verification method.

We will not intentionally ask for more information than is reasonably necessary to verify the request.
